Grievance Redressal
How to raise a concern, and what we will do about it
Our commitment
Any parent, student or staff member may raise a grievance. Nothing about the process is secret, and no one is penalised for using it.
How to raise a grievance
- Step one — the class teacher. Most concerns are resolved here. Expect a response within two working days.
- Step two — the stage coordinator. If unresolved, escalate in writing. Expect a response within three working days.
- Step three — the Principal. Write to the Principal, in person or by email. Expect a response within seven working days.
- Step four — the Grievance Redressal Committee. Constituted under the SMC. Matters are placed before the committee and a written outcome is issued within fifteen working days.
Specialised channels
- Sexual harassment — complaints go directly to the Internal Complaints Committee under the 2013 Act, bypassing the steps above.
- Child safety and POCSO — complaints go directly to the Child Protection Committee and are handled under the statutory procedure.
- Bullying — see the Child Protection and Anti-Bullying page.
Escalation beyond the school
If you are not satisfied with the school's response, you may approach the Central Board of Secondary Education through its regional office, or the appropriate authority of the State Government.
Use the grievance form or write to the school at the address on our Contact page.
